But there appears to be a disconnect between the detrimental results of burnout—like decrease productiveness and engagement—and the way a lot bosses view it as a problem affecting their corporations. Less than half of employers design work with well-being in thoughts, in accordance with the survey, and fewer than a 3rd of employers consider that failing to spend money on lowering worker burnout will expose them to appreciable risk this year. 

“Everybody has been looking at mental health, and physical health, and well-being. It’s been such a focus,” says Bravery. “And I think the results are saying is we are not moving the needle on that.”
